HAIKU HANDS
For the design of Haiku Hands’ visual identity, I hone in on three
central concepts: juxtaposition, hand done /stylised and spontaneous / considered. These accurately address the liberal and unconventional traits of their identity whilst also working to develop an aesthetic. Continually coming back to these words helped drive the creative direction, ensuring I stayed authentic to the band’s ethos. The visual identity favours flexibility, versatility and the absurd. The limited yet flexible colour palette and variable logo system work with the ‘absurd’ album art to visually communicate Haiku Hands’ unique brand personality.
